Timothy D. "Mudd" Emerick

Timothy D. “Mudd” Emerick, age 57 of Tremont, died Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.

He was born August 24, 1964 in Jacksonville, the son of Dwane and Dorothy Coats Emerick. He married Martha Walton on January 9, 2021 in Tremont, after 30 years of companionship.

He is survived by two children Rachael White of Colorado and Darren White of Tremont; two brothers Zack (wife Kim) and Josh (wife Rachel) Larson both of Havana; two uncles Jim and Vicki Coats of Beardstown and Robert Coats of Houston, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Virginia “Jinny” Emerick, seven uncles, and two aunts.

Mudd attended Beardstown and Havana Schools. He retired in 2011 after 30 years in construction with Laborer’s Local 165 in Peoria. He enjoyed being outdoors whether he was on his four-wheeler, camping, or taking a ride on the back roads. Mudd loved his family and his greatest times were spent with them.

Cremation rites have been accorded and burial will be held at a later date in Beardstown City Cemetery. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
