Sharon Daniel

Sharon Lea Daniel, 84, of Beardstown, IL, died Monday, September 9, 2019, at Heritage Health in Beardstown.

She was born March 12, 1935, at home in the west end (Hog Ward) of Beardstown, Illinois, the daughter of Hartford and Fanny Alberta (Hagerty) Seward.  She married Floyd (Ike) Daniel on October 16, 1954, in Beardstown.

Surviving is her son Steven (wife, Molly) Daniel of Charleston, Illinois, a granddaughter Cayla (Johnson) Avila (husband, Joseph), her brother Sam Seward, nine nieces and nephews, and a clowder of ten cats.  She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Ann Marie Lawson, sister Jeanine (Cork) Phelps, two brothers Larry and Jimmie (Pooch) Seward, and parents.

Sharon was employed at the Arrow Restaurant during her high school years. After graduation, she was employed by Sears and Oscar Mayer, both in Beardstown.  She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Beardstown.  She dearly loved her children and family.  She was a giving person who never met a stranger.  She loved animals, especially her dog Stacy, and enjoyed fishing, playing cards and slots, and betting on the ponies.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown followed by burial at the Beardstown City Cemetery.  The family will meet with friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the services at the memorial home.
