Shannon Graham

Shannon Frederick Graham, 47, of Beardstown, died Thursday, November 9, 2023.

He was born December 3, 1975, in Beardstown. He is the son of Mike and Kathy Merfen Graham.

He is survived by his parents Mike and Kathy Graham of Beardstown; two sons Shane Graham of Jacksonville and Hunter Graham of Quincy; five sisters Christina Elwood of Mt. Sterling, Paige Drane of Beardstown, Briana Graham of Quincy, Shaylan Graham of Quincy, and Taniecia Carriger of Beardstown; three brothers Shawn (wife Wendi) Graham of Jacksonville, Shad (wife Sarah) Graham of Virginia, and Jacob (wife Tonya) Graham of Peoria; several nieces and nephews; and Gator his four-legged friend. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Fred and Dorothy Graham, maternal grandparents Art and Glenna Merfen, and a brother Shane Graham.

Shannon also known as "Mig" attended Beardstown Schools. He worked many years as a river barge deckhand, later for Jack Crump Construction, and currently a carpenter. Shannon was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers and mushroom hunting. He delighted in the time spent at the Hideout. He had a playful spirit and loved to tell jokes. What mattered to him most was the time spent with family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 11AM-1PM Friday, November 17, 2023 at Colwell Memorial Home. There will be no formal services.
