Seth Jarrett

Seth Michaels Jarrett, 32 of Meredosia, died Friday, March 31, 2023 in Beardstown.

He was born April 14, 1990 in Springfield the son of Charles Eugene Jarrett and Jennifer Vazquez.

He is survived by his parents; his companion Elizabeth Dotzert of Beardstown; three children Autumn Jarrett of Iowa, Nina Jarrett of Meredosia, and Sabella Jarrett of Beardstown; three sisters Jayda Chavez, Kendall Rodriguez, and Alexis Jarrett; three brothers Braylen Rodriguez, Trent Jarrett, and Chris Jarrett; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Harvey and Peggy Swan Pate and his paternal grandparents Charlie and Joyce Hopping Jarrett.

Seth attended Beardstown Schools and later received his GED. He hit a point in his life and realized he needed to make changes. He moved to Alabama and was a part of the Freedom House Ministries and made faith an important part of his life. He worked with Jagger Construction in Alabama and then moved back to the area three years ago. He had a passion for music and created many masterpieces under his rapper name “Paid Killa”. Seth enjoyed cooking and he liked to spice up food made by others. He spent many hours fishing and loved being a jokester with his friends and family. Seth loved his family and friends and lived for his children. His personality was infused with passion, and he would want the world to know that Mental Health and Addiction are real life struggles and should be talked about not hidden.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday day, April 5th, 2023 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. There will be no visitation or burial.
