Peggy Ross

Peggy Lynn Ross, 76 of Beardstown, died Monday, December 30, 2024 at Beardstown Nursing and Rehab.

She was born July 10, 1948 in Beardstown, the daughter of Frank Arthur and Frances Bowman Jamison. She married Ed Ross on February 11, 1972 and he survives in Beardstown.

She is also survived by a daughter Amy Monger (husband Shawn) of Beardstown and their children Alex and Thea Monger; her son Brian Ross (wife Jill) of Beardstown and their children Ethan, Cade, and Carter; a sister Nancy Beck (husband Paul) of Iowa, four brothers Pat Jamison (wife Naomi) of Kentucky, Larry Jamison (wife Sue) of Jacksonville, Tom Jamison (wife Meredith) of Beardstown, and David Jamison of Beardstown; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Mary Frances Burns, one brother Gene Jamison, and sister-in-law Jean Jamison.

Peggy graduated from Beardstown High School in 1966. She worked at Schmitt Memorial in Beardstown and later alongside her husband at their business, Ross Motors, in Beardstown. Peggy was a past Beardstown Emblem Club #474 member and a passionate quilter in earlier years. She enjoyed soaking in the sun, swimming, and visiting the Casino with her husband; most importantly, family was her greatest joy.

Cremation rites have been accorded and the family will meet with friends from 4-6 PM Friday, January 3, 2025 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. There will be no formal services or burial at this time.
