Norm Kloker

Norm Kloker, age 71 of Rushville, IL passed away peacefully at his home on June 27, 2024.

After years of fighting, I finally won my battle against cancer and was greeted by the loving arms of Jesus. I have been blessed to live fifty-one years in Rushville with my best friend and loving wife, Jean Kloker. I was given five precious extra years to visit with my Son Grant (wife Megan) of Gilbert Arizona, my daughter Rebecca Kloker Jansen (husband Justin) of Morton, IL, six amazing grandchildren, Aiden Kloker, Nyah Kloker, Lena Kloker, David Kloker, Griffin Jansen, and Wyatt Jansen; and my brother and sister Kevin Kloker of Palatine, IL and Marsha Kloker of Riffle, CO. Going ahead of me were my parents Don and Dorothy Kloker of Beardstown, IL, my grandparents Ray and Edith Thompson of Beardstown, IL and Glen and Florence Kloker of Beardstown, IL and sister-in-law Laurel Kloker. I leave many friends and family behind on earth.

My biggest love on earth was my family, followed by golf and music. I planned to play many more holes of golf and spend as much time as possible with my kids and grandkids while throwing in every song reference that I could get into my daily conversations. One lesson I have learned is that my plans and God's plans don't always match up, so I will have to play perfect rounds of golf and listen to all my favorite songs in heaven while I wait for the people I love to join me.

Life is short, and sometimes shorter than you think. Hold your wife, kids, and grandkids close. Put your phone down, give them a hug, and tell them how much you love them and how proud you are of them. Make sure they know that Jesus is a priority.

A celebration of life and legacy service will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, July 1, 2024 at First Christian Church in Beardstown with Mike Courson officiating. Burial will be held in Rushville City Cemetery following the meal at the church on Monday. The family will meet with friends from 4-6 PM Sunday at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown.
