Miranda Suzanne Casson

Miranda Suzanne Casson, 45 of Beardstown, died Friday, February 28, 2025 in Decatur.

She was born November 23, 1979 in Jacksonville, the daughter of Leland D. "Mike" and Cathy Sue Rausch Knott.

She is survived by three children: Sierra Knott (companion Robert Frazier) of Ashland, Michael Slater of St. Louis, and Angelina Slater of Jacksonville; a granddaughter, Timberlyn Knott; one sister, Cathy (husband Don) Edwards; two brothers, Mark Lockman of Jacksonville and Eric Knott of Beardstown; her best friend Heather Canada of Rushville; numerous nieces and nephews; and her four-legged friend Jazzy. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Miranda attended Beardstown Schools and had a fun journey working at various local fast-food spots, with her latest gig being at McDonald's in Beardstown. She was passionate about diamond painting and enjoyed cozy movie nights, listening to her favorite tunes. But above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends, making each moment a precious memory. Her life on earth may seem cheated, but she still lives on in her children's lives.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6 PM on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown, with Matt Haberman officiating. The family will meet with friends from 5-6 PM at the memorial home on Monday. No formal burial will take place.
