Michael French

Michael William French, 65 of Beardstown, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at his home.

He was born January 16, 1956 in Kansas City, KS, the son of Herman and Ann French.

He is survived by three daughters Missy (husband John) Hennings, Tonya (husband Marty) Morrell, and Becky French all of Beardstown; three sons Travis (fiancé Jacqueline Holsman) of Beardstown, Michael Bigham of Beardstown, and Micah French of Rushville; numerous grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Michael attended Beardstown schools and joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was proud to be called a “Hollywood Marine” honorably serving this country. He was a union carpenter and worked locally for Birdsley Electric, Beardstown Hometown Heating, Cooling, Electrical and Plumbing and most recently for his son Travis. He loved carpentry work, building and or fixing anything. He was an avid antique collector who could not pass up the opportunity to attend an auction.

Graveside services will be held at 10 AM September 15, 2022 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Beardstown. The family will meet with friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown.
