Michael Brown

Michael "Mike" Lee Brown, age 45 of Beardstown, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in his home.

He was born June 7, 1972 in Beardstown, the son of George V. and Ethel Jane Ballard.

Surviving are his father, George V. Brown of Beardstown; two brothers, George V. (wife, Debbie) Brown II of Frederick and Gary Lynn (wife, Jennifer) Brown of Havana; one sister, Ronda Sue (husband, Nathan) Tigges of Indepence, MO; and six nieces and nephews: Rachel, Georgie, Curtis, Heather, Dezeray, and Travis. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Mike graduated from Waukegan East High School. Through his life he had many different jobs, but he worked at Andrew’s Mart in Meredosia for the last several years. He enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, and watching movies. He was known for great conversations, making people laugh, and his philosophical views on life. Most of all he loved his family. He will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at 6 PM Monday, August 7, 2017 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the services at the memorial home. Burial will be held at a later day at Walkerville Cemetery near White Hall.
