Lyndle Allison

Lyndle Lee “Bo” Allison, of Beardstown, died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at his home.He was born November 9, 1953 in Jacksonville, the son of Zane and Velta Neighbors Allison. Surviving are his mother Velta Allison of Beardstown; his sister Marsha (husband Steve) Nuckels of Carroll, IA; one niece Allison (husband Ryan) Rattenborg of Dunlap, IL; one nephew Ben (wife Jackie) Nuckels of Oconomowoc, WI; and six great nieces and nephews Jonny, Katie, and Lizzie Rattenborg, and Charlotte, Grace, and Eleanor Nuckels.He was preceded in death by his father.Bo graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1972. He attended the Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale, FL majoring in News Photography. He had worked for the Cass County Star Gazette as a photographer, Kays Merchandise in Springfield, and most recently retired from the photo department at Wal-Mart in Beardstown. Bo was a member of First United Methodist Church in Beardstown. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, listening to Country Music, and visiting Branson; at least eight times a year. He loved being with his nieces and nephews, and could be seen around town helping care for his mother or crafting in his woodshop. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, November 29, 2014 at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Beardstown City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 5-7 PM Friday at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. Memorials have been suggested to the donor’s choice.
