Lena Lambert

Lena Elizabeth Lambert, age 85 of Beardstown, died Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Heritage Health Beardstown.

She was born October 14, 1937, Buena Vista Township in Schuyler County, the daughter of Russell and Pearl Gossage Moore.

She is survived by her children Susan (husband Michael) Wright of Ipava; William "Bill" (wife Deanna) Baughman of Beardstown, and Wayne Baughman of Browning; numerous grand and great grandchildren; a sister Zelma Kaye Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death her parents, a daughter Gladys Baughman; and five sisters Rosalee Childers, Velma Faye Corbin, Betty Moore, Nina Young, and Opal Hedges.

Lena attended Ripely Schools and attended First Christian Church in Beardstown. She enjoyed flower gardening, watching western movies, and working on puzzle books. Lena lived her life with a caring heart. She attended to the needs of many people throughout the area as a caregiver. Most importantly, Lena loved the memories she made with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown with Pastor Matthew Haberman officiating. Burial will be in Ripley Cemetery. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the services at the memorial home on Saturday.
