Kossi Bedzra

Kossi Bedzra, age 61 of Beardstown, died Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. A visitation will be held from 12-4 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. A funeral will be held on December 7, 2018 in Lome, Togo. BEDZRA KOSSI was born on December 31 1956 in Lomé - Togo. His parents were Wowui  Bedzra and Woneke Afiwa ( Navi ).
Bedzra Kossi had a very happy childhood with his father at Soviépe where he had his basic education at (Aflaou Elementary school) Kossi distinguished himself as a good student. He left the father to stay with the uncle Peter Attivor who was a minister, when he was ten years old. And went to Junior High school of Avepozo.
When KOSSI was 15 he went to Avepozo High school at Avepozo . After high school , he moved from Avepozo to stay with his father at Soviépe where both of them migrated to live in Aflao, Ghana.  KOSSI continued his education and acquired his FORM FOUR Leavers' CERTIFICATE with Distinction. ( high school diploma) at age 19 .
He worked as a sales agent in Assigame Togo Lome at age 22. He moved from the position sales agent and became a manager of the firm 5 years later .
Kossi worked later with USA Embassy of Togo as security officer for 5 years .
At age 40 kossi worked at Habour,(port Autonome de Lome) . His decision to travel abroad started when he was working at Togo Habour. Hence, he decided to fulfill that ambition to travel overseas in  2002 to the United state of America.
. He lives in NYC from 2002 to 2010 .
In 2009 Kossi Bedzra welcomed his wife Anani Mekle Akossiwa and 3 of their children in NYC . All together the moved in Illinois when kossi and his wife worked at Gargil. Kossi decided to retire at age 62.
Kossi responded to the glorious call of God on November 6, 2018 at memorial hospital of Springfield.

We, the children, will always remember that your special smile,  caring heart and warm embrace, you always gave us. You being there for us and Mom through good and bad times, no matter what the situation might be, we willll always remember
you, Dad, because there will never be another replacement you in our hearts. The love we always  receive from you is lost forever. However, we only live take solace in old adage, "The Lord gives and the Lord takes." The Lord gave you to us, and he takes you away from us. We say, continue your blissful journey in his own everlasting glory till we meet again that day. Hede nyuie Papa!! Good bye Papa!!
