Kevin Joseph “Bigfoot” Perry, 44 of Beardstown, died Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at his home.
He was born January 21, 1979 in Rushville, the son of Joe and Audrey Krohe Perry.
He is survived by his father Joe (wife Sherri) Perry of Beardstown; his mother Audrey Perry of Beardstown; two brothers Todd Perry of Rushville and Phillip Perry of Browning; six nieces and nephews Courtney, Caitlyn, Trevor, Gage, Breanna, and Brayden Perry; seven aunts and uncles Teresa Rawlins of Beardstown, Lyndel (wife Cheryl) Perry of Beardstown, Carol (husband Chuck) Wubker of Beardstown, Dottie (husband Bill Dyche) Puckel of Beardstown, Ann (husband Tom) Bell of College Station, TX, Allen (wife Jackie) Krohe of Beardstown, and Ken (wife Kelly) Krohe of Wichita Falls, TX; numerous cousins; and his four legged friends Kujo and Chopper.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Oliver Andrew and Jewel Elizabeth “Betty” Hamblin Krohe, his paternal grandparents Lyndel and Fay Wright Perry, two uncles David ( surviving wife Lona Wagner) and Myles (surviving wife Deb) Krohe, and one aunt Janet Spears.
Kevin attended Beardstown Schools and later obtained his GED and certification in Diesel Mechanics. He had worked at Cargil in Beardstown starting out as a meat cutter and then moved up to maintenance. Later he worked for Ford as a mechanic in Jacksonville, Rushville, and Greenfield and most recently drove his own truck hauling hogs. Kevin enjoyed fishing, had a passion for being a mechanic and took pride in the vehicles that he owned. He competed in many mud runs throughout the area and for the past few years took up riding Harleys. Kevin knew how to have a good time with his friends but he cherished the times spent with family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, April 7, 2023 at Beardstown Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in the Beardstown City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 5-7 PM Thursday at the church. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
