Joshua Merrey

Joshua William Merrey, age 34 of Rushville, died Thursday, July 13, 2017 at his home.

He was born June 1, 1983 in Springfield, the son of Daniel J. and Paula Jo Coats Merrey.

He is survived by his father and step mother Daniel (wife Becky) Merrey of Rushville, two sisters Niki Schafer of Iowa and Nola Ayers of Decatur; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Paula Jo Coats Lipcaman.

Joshua attended Beardstown Schools. He had the most amazing smile and blue eyes. He was known to be an artist, poet, gardener, landscaper, or he could be found enjoying the outdoors. Joshua loved being with his family, especially doing crafts with his nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held from 5-7 PM Monday, July 17, 2017 at Rivertown Coffee and Wine Corner, located at 319 S. State Street, Beardstown.
