Howard Mibbs, Jr

Howard L. Mibbs, Jr, age 81 of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Aperion Care in Jacksonville.

He was born August 16, 1940 in Saidora, the son of Howard and Buelah Otto Mibbs. He married Beverly Mibbs and she preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son Frank Mibbs of Peoria; several grandchildren; his sister Edith (fiance Bill Harris) Rich of Beardstown; and a brother Steve Mibbs of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two sisters Lavina Mibbs in infancy and Doris June Lane.

Junior attended Sedora Schools. He and his wife owned and operated BJ Hauling Company in Springfield for 30 years. He enjoyed farm animals, especially his horses, and loved life to the fullest.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Bethel Cemetery in Chandlerville. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
