Gladys Baughman

Gladys Irene Baughman, age 67 of Beardstown, died Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born December 15, 1952 in Rushville, the daughter of Russel Baughman and Lena Elizabeth Moore.

She is survived by her mother Lena Lambert of Beardstown; her son Russell “Mikel” (significant other Hannah Price) Baughman of Beardstown; four grandchildren Richard and Ilicia Baughman,  Dane Hemsley, and Jared Hale; two brothers William “Bill” (wife Deanna) Baughman of Beardstown and Wayne Baughman of Browning; and one sister Susan (husband Michael) Wright of Ipava. She was preceded in death by her father.

Gladys attended Rushville Schools and later obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant degree. She worked for Heritage Health in Beardstown, and later was an in home care provider. She had a strong Christian faith, enjoyed puzzle books, crafts, and most of all, cherished her time spent with family.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. Burial will be in Ripley Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 1 PM until the time of services at the memorial home. Due to the current health situation, face masks will be required and to comply with social distancing guidelines, a limited number of people will be allowed in the memorial home at one time.
