Edna Campbell

Edna Marie Campbell, age 96 of Beardstown, died Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born March 28, 1922 in Beardstown the daughter of Max and Myrtle Miller Reick. She married James Campbell on January 5, 1941 and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1991.

She is survived by her children Bill “Bill” (wife Barb) Campbell of Beardstown, Susie (husband Jerry) Norvell of Abingdon, Kittie (husband Marvin) Robinson of Astoria, Lora VanWinkle of Beardstown, and Richard “Soupbone” Campbell of Beardstown; 24 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and one sister Sallly Willey of Macomb.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Ronnie Campbell, her son-in-law Lonnie VanWinkle, her brother Jimmy Reick; and her fur baby Malachi.

Edna attended Beardstown Schools. She was a licensed daycare provider for many years. She enjoyed embroidering, sewing, and baking. She loved her fur babies Molly, Marley, Ceaser, Rusty, and Lucy, but most of all, she was happiest being around her family and listening to all of them.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Beardstown City Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
