Donald William "Billy" Friday

Donald William "Billy" Friday, 73, of Beardstown, died at his home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

He was born August 14, 1951, in Cass County, the son of Dewey and Helen Chestnutt Atwood Friday.

He is survived by his two half-sisters, half-sisters, Helen (husband Clifford) Carroll and Alberta (husband George) Cook, both of Rushville; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his close friends Tricia Knous, Johnny Lyles, and Tommy Pate. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Billy's journey took him through Rushville Schools and various jobs in the surrounding area, including the railroad, park district, Burrus, and hog farms. His diverse work history reflects his adventurous spirit and will be remembered fondly. He also had a passion for hunting and fishing, which brought him joy.

Cremation Rites have been accorded and graveside services will be held at 2 PM Friday, November 8, 2024 at Beardstown City Cemetery. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is handling the arrangements.
