Denise Phillips

Denise Darlene Dyche Harris Phillips, age 51 of Beardstown, died Monday, November 1, 2021 in Rushville.

She was born August 2, 1970 in Beardstown, the daughter of Dennis Dyche and Karen McCulley. She married Robert Harris and he preceded her in death in May of 1999. She later married Rodney Phillips and he preceded her in death on August 14, 2021

She is survived by her mother Karen (husband James) Hatfield of Beardstown; her father Dennis (wife Connie) Dyche of Tucson, AZ; four children Koby (wife Ashlyn) Montgomery of Rushville, Kayla (companion Sam Watkins) Mattes of Jacksonville, Frankie Morrell of Beardstown, and Kipp (companion Sasha Velten) Dyche of Arizona; seven grandchildren Bralyn, Kyia, Sumerr, Iris, Bellimi, Aiden, Adlee, and Arlo who is on his way; two sisters Holly Dyche and Danielle (husband Rocky) Shamburg both of Tucson, AZ; two brothers Mark (wife Annett) Walls of Tucson, AZ and James “JC” (wife Wendy) Hatfield of Beardstown; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her cat Little Bit. She was preceded in death by her husbands.

Denise graduated from Beardstown High School. She had a gift for making jewelry and enjoyed music, especially rocking along with Metallica or Alanis Morissette, which earned her the title most into Heavy Metal in high school. Denise had a big heart and loved every moment she was with her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. Burial will be in St. Alexius Catholic Cemetery in Beardstown. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the services at the memorial home on Saturday.
