Constance "Connie" Cowan

Constance Ann "Connie" Cowan, age 90 of Arenzville, died Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born May 18, 1933, in Arenzville, the daughter of John Walter and Ruth Virginia Park Lovekamp. She married Robert Howard Cowan on June 17, 1951 in Arenzville and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2003.

She is survived by three children Candice (deceased husband David) Erwin of Dawson, Robert (wife Debbie) Cowan of Jacksonville, and John "Chris" (wife Brenda) Cowan of Bluff Springs; three grandchildren Robert (wife Brittany) Cowan, Jim (wife Julie) Cowan, and Heather Erwin; and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother John J. Lovekamp, and a great grandson JJ.

Connie graduated from Arenzville High School in the class of 1951. During her adolescence she worked at Lovekamp Diner in Arenzville for her parents and had fond memories of the family owned business. After she wed, her full time job was raising her family. Connie was best known for her incredible talents in the kitchen and keeping a exceptionally clean home. Her family loved the epic Sunday Brunches she would host. She had a passion for reading. Connie was a life long member of Arenzville United Methodist Church and enjoyed helping with women's activities within the church.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, July 3, 2023 at Arenzville North Cemetery with Reverend Debbie Hamilton officiating. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
