Billy Hendricks

William Charles “Billy” Hendricks, 46 of Beardstown, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

He was born October 26, 1969 in Beardstown the son of Gloria Bauser.

He is survived by his mother Gloria Jones of Beardstown; his grandfather Lawrence Bauser, three sisters Angela (husband Scott) Flynn of Beardstown, and Christy and Tina Hendricks of Versailles; his nieces and nephews Ashely Sheppard, Derek Robertson, Bobby Crafton, and Austin, Andrew, and Andrea Flynn; two great nephews Zayne Oshie Mitchell and Russell Ray Flynn; a longtime family friend Don Hunter; and best friend John Sheppard.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandmother Irma Louise Bauser.

Billy graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1987. He received his Pilot’s License and worked for Illinois Marine Towing in Chicago and Logsdon Tug Service in Beardstown. He loved being on the river and took his job seriously. Billy had a big heart and worked hard at what he did so he could get his jobs done and then go help others. He loved being busy, working in his yard, could tinker on anything, and was always there to help with his friends and family.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. There will be no burial.

Memorials have been suggested to the family of Billy Hendricks.
