Barbara K. Jackson, age 63 of Beardstown, died Sunday, October 25, 2020 in her home.
She was born September 29, 1957 in Beardstown, the daughter of Robert K. and Elizabeth “Betty” Wherley Sinnock. She married Jason Jackson on November 9, 1994 and he survives.
Also surviving are her children Bobby Black, McQuade Jackson, and Haley Jackson all of Beardstown; her mother Betty Sinnock of Havana; her mother-in-law Melba Lisenbee Jackson of Mt. Sterling; three sisters Mary Anne Wilson of Omaha, NE, Nancy (husband David) Jacob of Havana, and Connie (husband Mark) Shugart Chatham; her cousin and best friend Sharon Fisher of Beardstown; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, her father-in-law Ray Jackson, and a brother-in-law Rick Wilson.
Barb graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1975. She worked production cut floor for 15 years at Excel later known as Cargil in Beardstown. She enjoyed the outdoors and had a love for mushroom hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeling. She would take her chances scratching off lotto tickets and playing slot machines and bingo. Most of all Barb cherished her family and spending time with each of them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Private family services will be held. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
