Barbara J. Clark, 81 of Beardstown, died Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Beardstown Health and Rehab.

She was born January 27, 1944 in Peoria, the daughter of Ernest T. Stubblefield and Mary Teresa Clark.

She is survived by two daughters Dollie Kenser (husband Bryan) of Rushville and Mary Richardson (husband Casey) of Browning; four grandchildren Josh (wife Lisa), Jeff (wife Thais), Leah, Jayde (husband Jonah); two great grandchildren Maya and Aiden; one brother; one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Barb's journey was marked by adaptability and resilience. She attended Pekin Community Schools and later obtained her GED. Her career spanned various industries, from telecommunications at Pekin Phone Company and Gallatin River Phone Company to hospitality at Paradise Hotel and Casino and even automotive at Mike Murphy Ford in the transport services department. Barb volunteered at the American Red Cross in Peoria. She was part of Sweet Adeline's and also enjoyed country line dancing. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and private family services will be held. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
