Anna Silsby

Anna Marie Silsby, age 73 of Beardstown, died Monday, March 18, 2019 at Generation Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln.

She was born December 30, 1945 in Pontoosuc, the daughter of Lloyd and Martha Brooks Silsby.

She is survived by two daughters Susan Swan and Judy Lyles both of Jacksonville; three grandchildren Jeremy (wife Starla) Swan, T.J. Riley, and Justin Swan; 13 great grandchildren Christopher, Rylee, Lily, Justice, Drake, Lyric, Brice, Brianna, Gabriel, William, Augustine, Tristan, and Clayton; two great grandchildren Aliyah and Kaiden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Jimmy Swan, her daughter Ida Swan, a great grandson Trever, four brothers Wayne, Gene, Charles, and Fred; her sister Barbara, and a niece and nephew Tina and Fred.

Anna attended Chandlerville and Beardstown Schools. She received her Certified Nursing Assistance Degree from Jacksonville and worked in nursing homes, and also provided in home care for people. She cherished her family and friends, and always treated people with respect and kindness. Anna loved her Bible, her church, and God.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Bethel Community Church of the Nazarene in rural Beardstown. Burial will be in the Beardstown City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends two hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
